Father’s Day
The last time I spoke to my father I was 12 and it was an accident. I was livin with my auntie (RIP) and he just so happened to call on my bday. On top of that my mom answered the phone! I would’ve answered but I was too busy playing Pokemon Red on my new gameboy color! Anyway, needless to say he did NOT expect moms to answer. They exchanged pleasantries. He asked for my auntie but she was gone to get something. Then moms dropped the bomb “do you even want to wish your son a happy birthday? It’s today”. I was handed the phone. I kept playing my gameboy. I only remember an empty promise to come to see and my brother. I already knew. I didn’t give no effs.
The last time I seent him? I was 8. *hardcore shrug*
