As an avid fan of Little Brother (especially at the time) I really enjoyed Khrysis flip on the joint. It’s a chilled out cut that pooh and Tay just kind flex some rap dexterity. Then some years go by and POW! Game drops “Fire In Ya Eyes” and shits amazing! It’s his “Me and My Girlfriend” shit. The track found it’s way to a mixtape and featured Ya Boy and Cyssero (there’s a reason I went and found the OG leak with only “J.B.”). But straight up. The sample flip is stupid dumb amazing on Game’s joint. I know it’s just a loop, but it just feels better, to me.
This might be the first time I’m happy Soul Train had people lip-sync.
