J.Lately – Food With Friends Ep. 1


This is a great idea. A bigger artist is gonna steal it. But at least J Lately got it poppin. 

We’re pleased to bring you the first episode of the new mini-series “Food With Friends”, in support of J.Lately’s upcoming album Let’s Just Be Friends, dropping on October 23rd of this year. The mini-series follows Lately inside his Oakland residence as he cooks a meal and shares it with a different special guest each episode. The first guest on the show is producer/rapper Oops, who contributed heavily to the production of the album, and the meal being prepared is Lately’s Wake N’ Bake Hash Bowl. Take a minute to go behind the scenes of the making of the album and get a small glimpse into the lives of both artists, and be on the lookout for the Let’s Just Be Friends album on October 23rd.

This dude been bubbling for a cool minute. This song been fire emojis since it came out last year. My problem? Is this push he’s getting under the guise of being indie when he’s “secretly” signed to a label. Like Section.80 and Kush & OJ and a multitude of others. He has earned his right to success. But why fake it when it’s CLEAR he’s signed? It’s just annoying and dishonest to me. Playing the organicly made fan base. But whatevs. I’ll probably buy his EP when it drops. 
Ps I didn’t name the label but it’s super easy to find if you do your googles. Hint: it’s not fucking OVO you idiots. also, is this song the new dirty mackin anthem?
